Sept 24, 6—9 pm, at IF+D Yes. It is the Iron Thread Design Launch Party. What, pray tell, is Iron Thread Design? Well, I'll tell you: it's a new design studio, the brainchild of Sheri Bingham. They'll be launching their line of upholstered furniture starting with ottomans and producing headboards and pillows shortly thereafter. These pieces are exquisitely crafted and—my personal favorite part—they have crazy, custom buttons. Buttons sounds like a little thing, but after all, God is in the details (or is the devil? I can never keep that straight). Anyhow, the buttons are covered with all sorts of unique fabrics... she could even make a Jimmy Page button for you, if you so desired. Or a Steve McQueen Memorial button in honor of his wicked stunt driving in Bullit. As usual, I digress... So come down and join us. Music will be provided by the inimitable Adrian Quesada and DJ Chicken George. The fine folks at ¡ hola aloha ! will provide catering and cocktails.
